Dr May Kutty has had more than 30 years’ experience in the Medical field.
Dr Kutty was originally from Myanmar or Burma as it was known.
She worked in Fiji for 12 years in Accident and Emergency, the Rehabilitation Unit and was Director of the National Diabetes Centre.
Dr May has 17 years of Australian experience in General medicine, Emergency Medicine and has vast experience in working in some rural and remote areas of Australia.
She has a great passion for her work in the Aged Care field and has a special interest in Palliative Medicine.
Dr May deals with all types of Chronic Disease Management, she also conducts very Comprehensive Health Assessments and Care Plans that may be required for all her patients who may be in a (RACF) Residential Aged Care Facility so that they may benefit from having access to the best possible care and resources that may be available.
She is a very caring and compassionate Doctor when it comes to dealing with Acute and Chronic Pain Management, Medication Reviews and when dealing with the families of loved ones who may be in a (RACF) Residential Aged Care Facility.
She believes in holding regular family Case Conferences so that all family members are kept up to date with their loved one’s care and medical treatment.
Varsity Lakes Family Practice is very lucky to have such a very experienced Doctor who is now a part of our team and who comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in the Geriatric and the Palliative Care field.
Dr May is only seeing Nursing Home patients so will always be available for any new admissions and to see patients on a regular roster system and of course should an emergency arise.
