Mark Newman

Mark completed his Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) majoring in psychology and Masters degree in Clinical Psychology at Bond University. He has experience delivering therapy to adults of all ages, ranging from young adults with anxiety, to adults in later life with chronic health concerns.

In his therapy, Mark draws upon a broad range of therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Individual Psychology (Adlerian), Dynamic Psychotherapy, and Existential Psychotherapy to help achieve the best outcomes for his clients.

Mark's style is best described as caring, conversational, collaborative, and non-judgmental. When working with you, Mark's first goal is to build a trusting and collaborative relationship. His aim is to help you make positive changes in your life, by addressing the underlying cause of your symptoms and suffering, and improve the quality of your relationships with family, friends, and co-workers.

Before studying Psychology as a mature aged student, Mark worked in several diverse fields including sports coaching, green keeping, woodwork and as a 'stay at home' dad.

“We suffer because we run from life, death, and the teachings they offer. We become healed when we embrace our inner life, our loved ones, and life itself” – Jon Fredrickson, Psychotherapist
